When you’re selling your house, potential home buyers love to see all of your features. If you love Halloween and you just need to get in some great Halloween décor, there’s a great way and a not so great way to do that.
Here are some tips to avoid scaring off the perfect buyer:
Hold Off on the Blood and Gore
Halloween is a lot more than dismembered body parts, bloody zombies and spooky goblins. Instead, get a make arrangement of pumpkins and smiling jack-o-lanterns. There are lots of ways to decorate and if Halloween is your things, maybe you can spend this Halloween preparing for the decorations on your new house, next year.
Keep the Decorations Outside
We all love to make our home as exciting on the inside during holiday as the outside. Let’s face it, you really don’t spend your time looking at the outside and you want to appreciate the inside too. But Halloween may have a lot of different meanings to a lot of people that won’t help you sell your house. You really want people to be looking at your house as a whole and not just the décor. So instead, try burning a pumpkin bread candle. The last thing you want people to remember about your home is cobwebs.
On November 1, remove any Halloween Décor
The moment the trick-or-treaters have run off into the distance, scoop up all of your Halloween décor and pack it. You can replace it with a great Thanksgiving décor. If you’ve created a fall décor or mostly fall décor, there won’t be too much to do and you’ll really appreciate it. Because November 1 should really be reserved for sorting Halloween candy and strategically hiding the best stuff.
