34th Annual International Festival of Raleigh
March 6th - 8th; Jim Graham Building & Expo Center, N.C. State Fairgrounds, 1025 Blue Ridge Road, Raleigh.
Celebrate cultures from around the globe at this three-day festival filled with music, dancing, cooking demonstrations, cultural exhibits, shopping and delicious food! Admission ranges from $8-12 and discounted tickets can be purchased in advance right here.
Raleigh St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival
March 14th, 10 am, Downtown Raleigh; parade begins at Lane Street and Wilmington Street; festival takes place on City Plaza on the south end of Fayetteville Street.
Get your green on and celebrate St. Paddy’s Day with a festive parade that winds its way through downtown Raleigh. Then head over to City Plaza to enjoy a festival filled with music, dancing, food, crafts and Leprechaun Lane for the kids!
Flight Day
March 14th, 1-4 pm, The Big Field at Dorothea Dix Park, 101 Blair Drive, Raleigh.
Bring a kite from home and join in flying it alongside other kite-flyers in a beautiful outdoor setting. No kite? No worries – there will be plenty of kite vendors on hand to help you find the perfect flying contraption. After you work up an appetite with all that kite-flying, pay a visit to one of the many food trucks serving up delicious treats.
Shamrocks & Shenanigans
March 15th, 2-6 pm, Pullen Park, 520 Ashe Avenue, Raleigh.
Spend the afternoon enjoying food, games, beer and live performances, including a Celtic band, Irish dancing and a bagpipes parade! Have a kilt? Wear it and have a chance to win a prize!
