Or simply sit back with a warm café mocha and enjoy the musical talents of the community! Wish you could do this every week? You can! Bluegrass jams happen every Tuesday! If singing is more your speed, then come out for karaoke night on January 9th and 23rd at 7:30 pm to share your vocal stylings.

If you’re planning your next big adventure, stop by Cabela’s on January 18th from 1-4 pm to learn about the best way to choose a guide or outfitter. Pro Staffer Darrell Madden will walk you through how to make the best choice. Arrive early and grab a wild-game sandwich in the deli for lunch, followed by delicious fudge from the fudge shop for dessert!
If one of your New Year’s resolutions was to learn a new skill, then you’re in luck! Head over to Garner Music & Arts on January 25 for a free beginner guitar class at 11 am and 1pm as part of their open house weekend that runs January 24th-26th. No guitar? No worries! Music & Arts is happy to loan you one. Interested in learning a different instrument? Music & Arts will offer free one-on-one consultations with highly qualified lesson instructors all weekend long and you can even tour the lesson studios. There is no time like the new year to start a lifelong love of music!
Will we have six more weeks of winter or an early spring? Watch with anticipation as Snerd the Groundhog makes his prediction to the mayor at White Deer Park’s Groundhog Day celebration on February 2nd. This annual event offers up plenty of family-friendly games and crafts as well as hands-on interaction with live animals. McGruff the Crime Dog, Smokey Bear and the Chik-Fil-A Cow will all be on hand to greet their adoring fans as well!
